The National Standards Authority during a glorious ceremony at the Government Information and Media Center celebrated the World Standards Day and Quality Week with the participation of Second Vice President Professor Sarvar Danesh, Director general of Afghanistan National Standards Authority Aziz Ahmadzai, Officials of private and economic sector and representative of academic institutions, International colleagues and a number of journalists and employees of various departments.
At the beginning, Aziz Ahmadzai, Director General of the National standards authority, briefed the attendees about the activities and achievements of the organization, noting that there is a strong commitment and will to advance the responsibilities and duties of the Organization in accordance with long and short term plans. he called on traders to import quality goods and materials to boost the trade and cooperate with ANSA to ensure the quality in the country. Mr. Ahmadzai, while reminding the benefits of standardization, stressed on ensuring the quality and taking legal action against violators.
Subsequently, Professor Sarvar Danesh, the second vice president, spoke about the history and value of the standard and said that the standard to the industries and manufacturers is vital. He added, “ANSA has come a long way in a short period of time, but it is not enough, He added that more work should be done in the field of standards. He called on the new leadership of ANSA to work hard to betterment of ANSA and to strengthen their ties with relevant organizations and institutions for strengthening the standard.
In addition, Mr. Malekiar Deputy Minister of Commerce, Mr. Shafi Sharifi, Vice Chancellor of Kabul University, and a number of speakers from the relevant departments spoke about the implementation and purpose of the standard.
Finally, certificates of appreciation were presented to professor Sarwar Danish by ANSA and to the officials of ANSA's partner organizations, as well as letters of appreciation to ANSA's technical team was presented.
At the end of the pre-arranged exhibition, a number of local companies exhibited their products and industries.
