Provincial Conformity Assessment Directorate After 2008, within the organizational framework of the National Standards Office, they were able to work seriously and in a short time in improve capacity, implementing effective works and forming a system on the basis of standardizing law commences their initial work from  Hairatan port of Balkh province, in 2009 to Aqina port of Faryab province and in 1391 according to the necessity of forming a provincial staff increased and to the level of directorates in Nangarhar province, Sher Khan port of Kunduz province, in the central ports, Gundi tour and Islam Qala province Herat, Nimroz province and recently started operating in Abu Nasr Farahi port of Farah province.

After 1392, these directorates have been active in stabilizing the quality of produced and imported petroleum products and have prevented the import and production of petroleum products contrary to the standard, and have made great achievements in this field. By the end of 1397, diesel, petrol and liquefied petroleum gas (5597) tankers and vans, as well as low-quality derivatives of other petroleum products have been prevented. Currently, these directorates are working in the field of implementation and monitoring of standards.

Also, in May 2009, the National Standards Office opened a construction materials laboratory in Nangarhar province for the first time to prevent the import of low quality construction materials.
