A Meeting Between the Afghanistan National Standards Authority and the Afghanistan Renewable Energy Union Was Held
The meeting was attended by Alhaj Mullah Faizullah Tamim General Director of the Afghanistan National Standards Authority (ANSA), Mr. Mohammad Asif Qanit Technical Deputy of ANSA, Mr. Sharif Azimi Executive Director of the (AREU), along with several officials from both sides.
This meeting was organized to continue joint cooperation for the growth of the renewable energy industry and to enhance the quality of its products and services in the country.
At the beginning of the session, Alhaj Mullah Faizullah Tamim General Director of ANSA, stated: "We must all work together in unity to guide Afghanistan towards development and prosperity." He added: "Our commitment is to promote the use of modern and advanced equipment in the country and to prevent the import of low-quality goods." The General Director emphasized further collaboration and remarked: "We are striving to establish advanced laboratories and provide better services, and God willing, we will achieve better results."
Following this, the Executive Director of the (AREU) elaborated on the importance of utilizing renewable energy resources in the country and called for ANSA’s cooperation in implementing standards and preventing low-quality goods from entering the market. He highlighted the development of solar products and systems in Afghanistan and identified the need for further standard development in these areas as an urgent necessity.
Throughout the session, discussions and exchanges of ideas were held regarding increased investment in energy production projects, better strategies, problem-solving approaches and partnerships between the government and the private sector.
In conclusion, it was decided to draft a new memorandum of understanding (MoU) based on the previous agreement, with future sessions to be arranged for its signing between the parties.
Renewable energy represents a new hope for Afghanistan. The Afghanistan National Standards Authority is determined to equip the country with advanced facilities in the field of renewable energy.
