In accordance with the Standardization Law and regulations, the Afghanistan National Standards Authority (ANSA) is responsible for determining and identifying the basic fuel consumption norms for vehicles, machinery, power-generating devices (generators), and heating systems used by ministries and government institutions across the country.
According to reports from ANSA’s Norm Identification Directorate, its technical experts and staff have, from March to November 2024, established fuel consumption norms for 1,526 types of vehicles, machinery, power-generating devices, and heating systems across the nation.
Norm identification services are of paramount importance in saving and efficiently utilizing the country’s financial and economic resources. Specialists at ANSA’s Norm Identification Directorate work tirelessly to accurately assess the fuel consumption of vehicles, machinery, and various devices.
