The meeting of the Standard High Council was chaired by professor Sarwar Danish, Second Vice President and Chairman of the High Council of Standards. The meeting was attended by Aziz Ahmadzai, Director General of the Afghanistan National Standards Authority, its deputies and members of the council. At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Ahmadzai gave a comprehensive report to the council members on the activities of the organization. the focus of discussion was Standardized pump station renovation strategy, 27 new standards, cement pricing and equilibrium mechanism. He also mentioned some profound reforms in the organization and taking serious steps against corruption, He also called on traders to refrain from importing substandard goods. In addition, Mr. Professor Danish announced his full support for the ANSA and stressed the need for coordination with other organizations. He also called on other concerned organizations to collaborate fully and continuously with the ANSA. During the meeting Afghanistan National Standards Authority (ANSA) presented five proposals in the areas of food safety management system, injections for medical expenses, mining, fuel, oil and construction materials, environmental protection, solar power and demining and 27 proposed Standards were also discussed. After the discussing the mentioned Standards during the meeting, it was decided to approved these Standards in Principe.
