Technical Meeting on the Development of Environmental Standards Held at the National Standards Authority

The Technical Committee Meeting on the Development of Environmental Standards was held at the National Standards Authority, attended by Mawlawi Mohammad Hanif Director of National Standards Development and Promotion and Building Codes, Professor Abdul Ghiyas Safi Chairman of the Committee and other committee members in the technical meeting hall of the authority.

During the meeting, discussions and exchanges of opinions were held on the draft "Standard for Wastewater Transfer Equipment in Buildings and Sites – Part 2: Transfer Equipment for Faeces-Free Wastewater." Key technical aspects of the standard were examined, and as a result, the standard was finalized.

The purpose of wastewater treatment is to prevent environmental pollution and make it reusable for future use. This is achieved through physical, chemical, and biological methods to remove harmful substances.

The National Standards Authority is committed to developing and implementing environmental standards to ensure public health and the protection of the country’s water resources.
